Vplyv ekonomiky jednotlivých krajín Európskej únie na spotrebiteľské správanie
Horáková, Katarína
This Bachelor thesis deals with differences in consumer behaviour in consideration of economics indexes and indexes of living standards. The aim of this thesis is to point out differences in consumer behaviour and approximate the economic situation and the level of living standard which is in chosen states. These facts have been examined in five member states of European Union specifically in Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy, Austria and Great Britain. The nature of the work was sufficient to use secondary data. All necessary data were found on the website of European statistic office – Eurostat. In literary research is this issue processed of the theoretical point of view. In the practical part specific numerical data are showed, their development and based on comparation the set objectives are fulfilled. The states are very similar based on the classification of individual consumption, even though each country belongs to another cultural affinity zones. Major differences are observed in macroeconomic indicators and living conditions. Finally, by correlation analysis is approximated relationship between income and actual individual consumption. This relationship has been proved to be statistically significant only in the case of the United Kingdom, in the other countries the statistical significance has not been demonstrated.
Comparison of consumer price indices in the Czech Republic and the EU
Hanzal, Vít ; Fischer, Jakub (advisor) ; Trexler, Jiří (referee)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to theoretically explain the concept of price statistic and his subcategories such as national (CPI) and Harmonised (HICP) Index of Consumer Prices with help from Czech statistical office and suitable literature. During the explanation of the concept of CPI is also enlightened classification of COICOP and meaning of the weight system. The prediction of the progress of weights of categories COICOP_1 and COICOP_4, is created in practical part. Moreover the hypothesis was created whether the weights of categories COICOP_1 and COICOP_4 are closing to average values of the EU. This prediction is achieved by statistical methods such as trend functions and exponencional smoothing. Slight increase of values is predicted for the weights of category COICOP_1, instead of category COICOP_4, where was predicted constant progress of the weights. In last chapter we set up a hypothesis, whether the progress of values HICP is closing to the values of EU. Also it was necessary to prove seasonality and then subsequently create a prediction of value progress, which was acomplished by exponential smoothing. The results verified the hypothesis, that the progress of HICP in CR gradually descents and that it closes to the values HICP of the EU.
Analysis of household consumption in the EU
Kolman, Martin ; Bílková, Diana (advisor) ; Malá, Ivana (referee)
The goal of this work is to analyze the evolution of household consumption of the states in the EU. The consumption will be researched in the view of classification COICOP, which is the classification of individual consumption by purpose. After mapping of this evolution the estimation of future values will be done from known time series. This estimation will be performed by two different ways. First one will respect the composition of household consumption in sections of classification COICOP. The second one will only work with time series of average consumption for all sections together. To compare the states cluster analysis will be done. This analysis will be done by two ways again. First one will be aimed to analyze the current situation and the second one will be aimed to analyze the evolution of household consumption. Instead of Microsoft Excel STATGRAPHICS X64 CENTURION and SPSS will be used in this thesis. Household consumption prognosis is the main benefit of this thesis. This prognosis is made for all sections of COICOP. Analysis has shown, that the consumption should rise in future. There are few exceptions, mainly countries with not good economic situation as Greece.
